You must obtain a building permit BEFORE starting a project.
Allow time in your schedule to work through the permitting process and to schedule inspections / remediations as required.
Steps for Homeowners / Contractors
- Review zoning & building guidelines.
- Contact the EO Office to reach Building Official with questions as needed.
- Submit permit application & supporting documentation directly to SAFEbuilt, our third-party building firm.
- Provide any clarification/documentation as requested from SAFEbuilt.
- Once application is approved, the EO office will issue the permit with corresponding fees, and notify you when the permit is ready.
